Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 9, 2026
Welcome to Cunari. By using our website (`cunari.org`) and our associated scholarly products (including but not limited to MyCiter), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Software Licenses & Use
Cunari grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and execute our applications according to the terms of your selected plan (Free Trial, Individual, or Institutional).
- You may not attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble our native applications without direct authorization from Cunari.
- You may not use our utilities to distribute plagiarized or copyrighted materials that violate local educational guidelines.
2. Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) Pricing
Cunari offers regional pricing subsidies to support scholars in weak-economy and developing nations.
- Regional pricing rates are restricted to active residents or registered university members in matching jurisdictions.
- Cunari reserves the right to audit, verify, or revoke regional discounts if we detect deliberate attempts to spoof locations (e.g. via VPN proxy abuse) during signup.
3. Intellectual Property
The core branding, code, stylesheets, logo design ("Cradle of Knowledge" open book tree), and application concepts are the sole property of Cunari. The research papers, citation metrics, and notes you curate remain 100% your own intellectual property.
4. Liability & Warranty
Our software utilities are provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind. While we make every effort to optimize code performance, we are not responsible for metadata extraction inconsistencies or data losses resulting from physical disk failure or lack of user backup management.
5. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that engage in systemic database abuse, payment fraud, or server disruption of our synchronization APIs.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of our primary incorporation. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the regional courts.
7. Inquiries
