Our Mission

Democratizing the Cradle of Knowledge

Cunari is dedicated to making high-quality, professional educational and research tools accessible to every scholar worldwide, with a specific focus on supporting developing economies.

Origin Story

How Cunari Began

As researchers, we noticed a deep and troubling inequality in global academia. Modern scholarly software—citation managers, PDF editors, writing helpers—is priced for well-funded institutions in high-income nations.

For researchers and students in weak-economy countries, paying standard Western subscription fees in local, devalued currencies is impossible. This creates a significant barrier: researchers from developing regions are forced to work with outdated or fragmented tools, slowing down scientific progress.

We founded Cunari to change this. Our flagship tool, MyCiter, was developed as a fast, beautiful, and completely offline-first citation solution. Today, Cunari acts as the parent company guiding MyCiter and upcoming scholarly software suites under a unified accessibility model.

Science is global, and access to research tools must be global too. Economic geography should never limit the quality of an academic paper.

Our Philosophy

Values We Live By

Cunari does not operate like traditional software conglomerates. Our objectives are centered entirely around scientific integrity and economic equity.

Economic Inclusivity

We adapt pricing model for all products (up to 85% off) for users in developing economies. We trust academics and perform simple, zero-friction local university email checks.

Absolute Privacy

Your literature libraries, notes, annotations, and drafts belong to you. We do not track user search behavior, nor do we sell metadata or train external AI models on your work.

Offline Autonomy

Internet access can be unstable in many academic locations. Our apps are built native (e.g. MyCiter for Windows) and function completely offline without losing local data.

Support Our Vision

We are actively looking to partner with researchers, academic institutions, and independent developers to add more tools to the Cunari umbrella.
